Reading that is heart breaking, I'm hopeful that other parents that use this forum will understand? That is either a sign of the times or irresponsible parenting or both? Stories like this bolster my resolution to raise my boy with a comprehensive grasp of consequence.

They are both still babies in my eyes! Shame on both their parents!

its pretty obvious the lad is no way capable of bringing this poor baby up, he looks like a pre teen himself and will obviously have the shock of his life when he understands the work involved with raising a nipper.

but i doubt he will be allowed to raise the kid anyway, the poor bairn will no doubt end up in care

Its not that big a disaster man, loads of people have kids early, it can have lots of benefits eg the lad will be done with parenting by the time he's in his 30s and can carry on with having a good life, and its not some sign of the times, teenage pregnancies have come down over the last ten years. I'm sure their parents will just raise the kid to all intents and purposes until they're old enough to take responsibility. I'd imagine the new baby will really appreciate in years to come the fact that they have such a young healthy mam and dad who can help them though their life, even when the kid is 60 his dad will prob still be alive, thats gotta be a good thing!

I'm not saying its all great, they've got a fuckload of hard work and hard times comin, but its not all a big horrible disaster either, just a lass has had a baby a year before she's supposed to be allowed to

I heard an interview with the boy yesterday on the radio. He was asked how he would finance the child's upbringing. His answer was ' What's finances?'

I'm not saying that all teen pregnancies are bad. My own daughter got pregnant at 18.
But that boy looks and sounds like a 9 year old.

But then, the clues are in both of the kids backgrounds - jobless parents on council estates who haven't got time for work because they're too busy breeding - the boy's father has bred NINE kids himself and the girl's family are a big family living on benefits!

It's the whole sub-working class mentality that cracks me up though - sit on the dole and let every fucker else pick up the tab for their army of future ASBOs, but have an abortion? Oh no, they're far too moral for that.

I feel sorry for the kids - he's way too young and she's obviously not right in the head - but that poor baby will be saddled with a life of 'more of the same'

Just as i suspected...a 16 year old has claimed that he is the father after admitting he was sleeping with her around the time the baby was conceived.
