my problem with joy division is the guitarist and bass player sound like they are still learning their instruments

like 6 months or something

hugely influential though, a lot of bands wouldnt exist if it wasnt for joy division. everytime i've seen radiohead live thom yorke has replicated ian curtis's 'epilepsy' dance

im not saying ian curtis wasnt cool as a performer

he was

but the music/songs/overall sound was boring/dull/made you want to sleep forever?

i find as you age it becomes easier to dance like ian curtis

all those things are true

add in the fact that musically they sound like they are all just learning and you honestly have one of the worst bands ive ever heard

you tube any joy division song for evidence of how the guitarist is sooo bad he makes me shake my head that they are soo famous

i remember when skiprat played us two joy division songs that he thought would change our opinions

and we never laughed so much in ages

i downloaded the hip hop tribte to metallica yesterday the best/worst thing ever

i love em! but you've definately got to be in the right mood for it, can't just stick it on in the car on the way to the seaside. I like how ropey the recording sounds too, its...distinctive!

Meh! they're ok and have some alright songs but i think they're massively overated.
