Watchmen

Anyone going to see it this weekend? Never been to an Imax cinema so may well kill two birds etc.

I want to see a film on imax, I am saving myself for Harry Potter.

Tooo Busy to go this weekend but IMAX is the way to go. Dark Knight was awesome. Watchmen has had some bad reviews.....only by people that havent read the Novel it seems.

Watchmen isn't on the IMAX in Brum, shit one I know but they ain't getting it!

But still we're going to see it the Friday.

Yeah i looked for the imax but it wasn't on at the brum one, but i'm still going Friday i think / hope

Terry Gilliam said it is unmakable as a film, im inclined to go with that

Snyder will pull this off, wish he had of stuck with Paddy Considine as Rorshach

Imax is worth visiting whatever is on. Totally awesome experience. I took Jack to see a film there and we both just had our breath taken away - the 3D is excellent

I'm still yet to experience it, i think Transformers 2 will be my first visit, should be alright.

i'm completely a Watchmen virgin so i'm really looking forward to it, going in completely fresh.

so for the 3d, you have to wear those silly glasses?
if so i'd be screwed, i have a weak eye and them things just dont work for me.

I'm currently re-reading the graphic novel, now that Em has finally finished reaading it. I don't think it's unmakable at all. Some of the bits don't really need to be in there, won't make it any less of a film because we don't know about what Hollis Mason wrote in his book or the report about Doc Manhattan.

I know that the ending has been changed which I'm not overly fussed about. There is uproar on various comic forums though.

No Tales From The Black Freighter either, although Snyder has made it as a stand alone feature. It may well end up in a directors cut for the 'double dip' profits? We'll see?

It's defo gonna be on the two disc dvd feature. They are also thinking of doing a version of the film with the black freighter sections where they should be as an extra on the dvd so it seems like the two disc will be good value. May just make the dive to blu ray when this comes out.

Also Hollis Mason's 'Under The Hood' is a featurette too.
