your 2009?

how was it? everything go to plan? things cock up a bit? major disasters?

mine was ok looking back, being in a band was tougher than usual with a lack of decent venues and a general apathy for live music but i thought we had a pretty good year with some good gigs and progress

family life was top, enjoyed my 17 year aniversary with the wife and being a Dad gets better and better as the lad gets more interactive with age

work was work.

overall pretty good year for me i think, bought shed loads of new music equipment which is always a bonus!

Had one broken relationship, obviously... Joined the magic circle, realised my boss was a dick and I hate my day job...

Few weekends away, Bournemouth and Brighton. Family Holiday in Corfu in October which was shite.

Making more money though than I ever have in my life.. Magic business took off this year. MOved into a nice house in March ust behind Ball Hill. Ending it working making a load of money, and enjoying the intimate company over the dinner table (although not at the same time) A professional dancer and acrobat, a pole dancer, and a girl I've had a crush on for ages.(Obviously not all the same woman.) So all in all, the year isn't ending too badly. I guess you could say I'm back out there.

I'd rather see the back of this year to be honest!!

well i went to one of the places ive always wanted to go (NYC) and had a grand old time, also met some cool people in 09, however if all goes to plan 2010 shall be better

My 2009 has been very good.
Quit Guns of Navarone. Got a new band with all my mates and are doing pretty good already!
Went to an event called Mini United, got paid to do photography there, met paul weller and calvin harris, raced on Silverstone and got to meet the director of the british F1.

My first V festival was very good aswell!
Saw Oasis's last gig.
Seen Lady Gaga screw up.
Finally saw the Specials, Ocean Colour Scene and met Enter Shikari before the Colly gig.
Met Seasick Steve

Got a new Mini stuck in a rapist infested forrest but some how survived.
Been in the telegraph, On the news and been having recording sessions with the band.
These are Just a few highlights of just an ace year for me.

Pretty good in some ways, moved out for the 3rd (and final) time and it's going swimmingly. work is strong and very busy and the band has made some big steps.

Got to go to Paris and New York in one year, be tough to top that and New York was extra special.

Only bad thing really was my car accident in March, oh and the lack of good music.

Oh and The Prodigy gig was outstanding.

Also made some really good achievements with band media stuff (iPhone game, tons of radio shows..etc) and I'm happy that a website I set up is still relatively popular and reguarly used.

Other than going to Bonnaroo back in June and seeing a ton of music there today was one of the highlights of my year... I got to see a live taping of the Jerry Springer show. I dont think I stopped laughing the entire time we were on the set. So overall my 2009 was pretty awesome, there was more good than bad.

One word - meh. Enjoyin my degree mind

Older, more wrinkles, takes longer to get up out of a seat, or get up the stairs, feeling the cold, keep pissing every two minutes and it seems to go on forever cos my bladder's like a punctured beach ball these days, incurable flatulence, grey hairs appearing, in my ears as well, ingrowing toenail, stiff knees.......

But not a bad year all told

Mines been up and down, like every year.

But there have been so many good things:

Disney Land Paris and seeing the Eiffel Tower.
My first bouquet of roses at Valentines Day from Dale.
Seeing Wayne do really well in both his kickboxing fights.
Moving out of the family home and into the flat.
Meeting Orlando Weeks of The Maccabees.
First Tattoo.
Take That live at The Ricoh.
Zorbing.

Bad things:

Failing a number of driving tests.
Seeing my sister in hospital for an operation on her head.
No progression in work.

It is a shit day, but not for the ladies, so you have to make a little effort, it's appreciated (This will be when suz outs herself as a lurker and lays into me for talking bullshit)

I had the shock of my life believe me, esp as all the 3/4 years previous i'd not got anything. I'm not really into the idea of Valentine's Day myself tho, but as Danny says, it's the little genstures that mean more to me, not flowers. I blame myself for being such a soppy git, I expect the same back.

i think its great that Caroline uses these boards to give away little insights that Dale is a bit of a softy at heart
