I'll try from memory, gonna be tough, highlight below to read.

SPOILERS:

Basically Ben Linus (Henry Gale, the one they captured) has a tumor on his Spine and once they found out Jack was a spinal surgeon he wanted him, Kate and Sawyer were bargaining chips. The cages are actually on another island behind the one the others are on.

You find out The Others actually live really civialized with a full community with houses and stuff, even have a book club.

Ben is the last person left from Dharma, he was a boy with his dad who was a worker. Ben killed them all in a purge after he met 'Richard' an actual Island inhabitant who we don't know much about yet.

Ben has constant access OFF the island and recruits people in.

Jack does the surgery and eventually he Kate and Sawyer get back to there camp then they have a war between them and the others. after lots of small things happen (like locke going to the others side and finding out about a man thats above Ben called Jacob) a rescue team come(or what you think is a rescue team) Charlie dies in helping the guys break the tramisson lock at an underwater station, although Desmond had been having visions of Charlies death for a long time.

Think thats it in a nutshell, hard to cram down 20 odd episodes.
