Gigs

What do people find the best about gigs? Either playing or going to....

Energetic crowd.

Always when the crowd are into it.

I'd say how good the band are. I've seen Oasis when the crowd were into it, but still didn't make it good for me.

where playing gigs is concerned I agree with Dale and Mofo and where going to gigs are concerned I agree with Jim
My bassist's fav part of playing gigs is probably terrorising the crowd ha ha

Playing - That lull before the start when you're set up and you're standing there just looking at the crowd, beer in your hand, a cool tune is playing and you're just feeling well up for it, its quite a buzz I must say.

Watching - when a band is unexpectedly brilliant, the noise is immense, the band are so into it and your jaw just drops to the floor, its quite a buzz I must say.

When you put on a gig and you get that knot in the stomach before it starts and then that buzz when it all goes right - it's awesome!...... so I'm told

Love that, the buzz i get from the SOC nights are ace even when i'm not playing.

One of my best feelings at a gig as a promoter was standing in the DJ box in Escape at SOC5 after playing with MBE, Paris Riots were closing the night to a packed room I had a massive smile on my face and lump in my throat as they blasted out 'we were an army', think we all knew that night was something special. Its that 'fuck me, I did this' feeling when your looking over 400 odd paying punters that are all loving it.


When i'm playing i'm a bit gutted i dont get nervous before going on, closest i got to nervous was going on stage at the ricoh with 'Reverb' to play in front of about 8000 rugby fans. I just love the adrenaline of getting behind the skins and giving it 110. whether its in front of 10 or 10000.

playing - i like it best around half way through the set when everything is working to plan!

watching - when it goes off!

For me, it's the look on people's faces when I get a trick right after making them believe I got it wrong, Awesome. Even better is when you try and leave and they ask you to stay and "do one more,please!"

He has a new camera, which is probably a good start...
