Get used to it mate, part of the territory of being in a band believe it or not, people don't wanna watch the same band four times a month.
But don't let that put you off playing four times a month, get all that experience playing to different crowds.

Even thats too much mate especially if you're a young up and coming band, if i was to go and watch you i probably wouldn't again for a good few months just to see how you are coming along.
It takes a good solid established band or at least a band with established musicians involved to pull people to a gig once/twice a month eg. Echo Empire, MBE, Haunted by Humans, Senses, The Bellows, King Hermit, Trailer, Pint Shot Riot, Shackletons etc.

Shit attitude to have, make people aware of your band without forcing it down their throats, if you're good enough those people will follow you. If you're not good enough then work on it before getting a shit name for yourself by gigging everywhere with a half arsed product.
Posting on a forum/facebook/myspace isnt enough, people forget the power of word of mouth these days. I simply mentioned to a few people that I work with that I was in a band, when interest was shown I gave out a few demo's, a month later we did a gig at Hope and Anchor and there was an absolute army of people from my office there, now we don't play a gig without a good few people from my workplace being there and I'm always being asked when/where we're playing next.
Also mate don't expect too much interest when you're posting info about your bands gigs on another bands forum.

ah the old guitar cutting out in the last song trick, the blackbelts are VERY well versed in that! I can't believe these guitars are fine for hours of practice but can't quite manage a 20 minute set, good that you carried on regardless and finished it off though. I'll be down to check yous out at the kitty kat anyway

cheers mate yeah I know its so annoying when that happens and one thing I've learnt by watching some of the bands we've supported who make some mistakes is never stop when you make mistakes or if any thing cuts out
