I love that film.
Mind you I love everything about Jim Carey.

His portrayal of The Riddler was stupendous.

He is a fantastic actor. Best thing about him is he can be really funny then deadly serious

The Cable Guy is a hugely underrated work of genius.

Ace Ventura is still capable of making me roar with laughter and I must have seen it a dozen times.

Have to agree - an incredibly funny film

Almost as dumb as Covscene!

I love that film the sequal was a bit of a let down but the first film was a classic Jim Carrey was ledgendary in the film

Going back to the sequel though, don't you think this is often the case? They get a big success with one film and they think they can capture the same success with a follow-up, only it's shit and it bombs.

Some films should never have a sequel - just ruins it. Look at Blues Brothers 2000. Look at the remake of Italian job (OK not a sequel but a shitter that should never have been made)

With most cases yes. But they're have been a few good ones. "The Godfather 2" "Home Alone 2" "Naked Gun 2 1/2" "Final Destination 2" "back to the future part 2" are some i can think of off hand.
