Hmm this could be the start of the downfall, the ending made it impossible for the flash forwards to be infallible and what not

Well, it showed you can change them (potentially) although i'm sure some of them will in trying to prevent them cause them in the end.

This is getting very similar to season 5 of Lost with theories of time, not a bad thing by any stretch.

also food for thought, the producers have a plan for at least five seasons already.

They have a plan, although they could be canceled or change their mind by then, but Lost has shown it's good to lay this thing out ahead of time, just in case.
