Been to the funeral of Steve Eaton today and was surprised to learn that his middle name was Cardboard. Ha ha!

Many of you won't know Steve, but he was a proper local character on the music scene and with Gerry Dammers was instrumental in the founding of Two Tone Records and The Automatics, who eventually transmuted into The Specials.

If you've ever been to a gig and seen a very flambouyantly dressed guy, that's probably Steve. He was Dave Medforth's uncle.

He was always memorable and never boring and you always knew when he had entered a room.

Just thought it was worth posting.

RIP Cardboard
