| I thought Battle L.A wasn't that bad, Eckhart was pretty decent and although it was all abit G.I Bro it felt like it had heart.
Compared to the last alien invasion film (Skyline) it's a fuckin' masterpiece!

Compared to the last alien invasion film (Skyline) it's a fuckin' masterpiece! - Spoiler:
I was pure cheese with absolute tosh dialogue. The action was hard to follow because of all the camera shaking bollocks and the characters were just same ol same ol. Platoon leader on his first mission and doesnt know what he's doing but ends up being a hero, staff sarge that has fought in every war since the 1600's, Michelle Rodreguez doing what she always does, a few soldiers that might as well have a target painted on them, and even random nurse totty(which was welcome). And of course we win because the soldiers must have seen Independance Day so its obvious how to take the Aliens out.

| I disagree. Thought it was well directed, well filmed and well acted. Sometimes Sci-Fi doesnt need a huge budget or to have loads of CGI effects througout. It was a bit slow, but I liked that combined with the soundtrack. I dunno, I like the low-fi feel to it all. | |

| Blindness :9/10 - Never heard of this until i went to Blockbuster on Saturday. Glad I found it.
A city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant "white blindness". Those first afflicted are quarantined by the authorities in an abandoned mental hospital where the newly created "society of the blind" quickly breaks down. Criminals and the physically powerful prey upon the weak, hoarding the meager food rations and committing horrific acts. There is however one eyewitness to the nightmare. A woman whose sight is unaffected by the plague follows her afflicted husband to quarantine. There, keeping her sight a secret, she guides seven strangers who have become, in essence, a family. She leads them out of quarantine and onto the ravaged streets of the city, which has seen all vestiges of civilization crumble

| I gave it 8/10 up above. I liked it quite a bit.
Sucker Punch 4/10 an extreme case of style over substance. It gave me a headache!!

A film with that title AND Rutger Hauer has got to be worth seeing.
