Dog and Trumpet

lots of stigma with this venue, we played at the weekend on J's new night, its been tarted up so its nice and bright, the sound system and monitoring were top notch and the drinks were cheap, less than £2 a pint

unfortunaley the crowd was sparse, something to do with a lot of folk watching the eurovisions judging by facebook Laughing

hopefully more bands will play there and help create another venue that cov badly needs.

I suggested the hermits to play there as i heard it was pulling in quite a young crowd, the idea was instantly dismissed!

i've seen some of the pictures from their sign outside, looks alright. it's a shame people still see it as a local hang out for the goths/emo's.

i can confirm there were no emo's or goths there on saturday.

in fact, apart from the bands and about 20 people we all bought along and the people running the night/barstaff there was no one there

hmmmm, i definatly heard (where i cant remember) that it got packed with 18-19 year olds. However going on your account Rig, id say it like it always was.

could be the best venue in the world but the point is nobody wants to go there.

Plus it was a SUPREME shit hole back in the day

I don't think I ever enjoyed playing at the Dog, if the massive column wasn't there it would be awesome.

I did go there on a friday about a year ago with Padd and some other people. Wasn't fun having a 14 year old come on to me!
